Careers
More than just a job
Working for Halifax Humane Society is much more than just a job.
At the end of each day, you have made a difference for our community's animals.

Why We Are Different Than Your Last Job
When you work at HHS, you have many supervisors. Most do not speak English. They speak dog or cat. As a staff member, you work for the animals, and if you don't perform appropriately, they will let you know with a loud "woof!" or a screeching "meow!"
They are always watching you. Talk about being micromanaged! But, also this is the most rewarding career you will ever find.
