Customers often ask what they can do to prepare for a change in their Dynamics GP Partner. We’ve created this checklist to help pave the way for a smooth transition.

Infrastructure
1. Detailed information on any Dynamics−related hardware, both on premise and offsite
2. Contact information for all key internal and 3rd party network support
3. Log−in information or clarity as it relates to who owns this information
4. Access to physical facilities as needed
5. Directory of all key contact information including e−mails and mobile phones to include your organization,
    necessary ISVs and any other technology partners
6. Confirmation that the back−up process is functioning in a secure manner
7. Agreed−upon approach for disabling access to any network and Dynamics application upon notifying current
    service provider and as appropriate


People
1. Internal and 3rd party communication plan
2. Clear definition and communication of JMK chain of command and governance process
3. Clear understanding of your chain of command and governance process


Processes
1. Agreed−upon on approach for notifying current service provider and all related software parties
2. Clear understanding of critical business cycles (month−end close, cycle counts, payroll, etc.)
3. Agreement on near−term objectives for system support and short term project priorities, if any
4. Definition of go−forward approach for all support cases opened with JMK Enterprises
5. Contracts signed


Application
1. Clear understanding of location of all relevant dictionaries
2. Clear understanding of ownership and location of all source code
3. Agreed−upon governance process for deploying any responses to support cases opened
4. Location of and access to all procedural and technical documentation that the previous service provider has
    provided, if any
5. Report group ownership, i.e. which users or groups of users access reports (custom and GP) Documentation of
    MS Office integrations (Excel queries ƒ pivot tables) and key users
