Request a Title
If you wish to request an item not in our collection and released within the past year, simply complete a 'Suggest a Purchase' form for our consideration. For items over a year old, inquire with a librarian about accessing them through our Interlibrary Loan service.

Suggest a Purchase
We encourage recommendations for additions to our collection. Please note that submissions do not guarantee acquisition. Approved items typically take around four weeks to be cataloged. Once ordered, suggested items will be marked as 'On Order' in our catalog.

Suggested titles should be no more than a year old. For older materials please use our Interlibrary Loan service. Reciprocal borrowers are advised to consult their home library for assistance with this service.

If the item you need isn't available in our collection, we might be able to obtain it from another library through a statewide sharing resource called FLIN SHAREit. This service is exclusively for full-service Library cardholders.

Service Details

A Volusia County Public Library card number and PIN are required to make a request.
Your library account must be in good standing.
The item must be at least one year old.
You can have a total of 5 items requested or in use at a time.
The loan period for an item is three (3) weeks.
The item is not renewable.
An item can take up to six weeks to arrive. You will only be contacted once the item has arrived.
