BOOKS ON THE FLY

Books on the Fly is a program developed by the Volusia County Public Library and The Daytona Beach International Airport to provide travelers with free books that do not need to be returned. Travelers can pass the books on to other travelers, leave the book in their hotel room as a welcome to the next guest, give it to a school or a friend, etc. They can do whatever they like with the book, but they do not need to return it to the library.

We have received emails from people who have left the book they took from the Daytona Beach International Airport in Bangkok, Canada, Norway, Israel, Egypt, France, and even Illinois. These are "Take with books" for FREE!

The books are available at the Daytona Beach International Airport in the Business Center and Mother’s Room.

Download three complimentary titles from hoopla and three complimentary magazine issues from Flipster while you are waiting for your flight.

Read, listen, or watch in the airport, on the plane, or at your hotel room. This service is provided free of charge by the Volusia County Public Library and the Daytona Beach International Airport.

The library has stocked the Business Center with popular books and the Mother's Room with children's books. No need to return the books and no charge for use.

2. Sign Up at hoopladigital

3. Location Access required (Mobile Devices: Allow app to use your location)

4. Select "Volusia County Public Library (FL)"

5. Check the box indicating that "you don't have a library card", and then add your first and last name

6. Finish the setup by entering an email and password
